About Temple:Sri Kallazhagar Perumal Temple of Maha Vishnu in the form of Vishnu one of the 108 divyadesam, Temple.The important event that is celebrated , crossing of the vaigai river by Azhagar during Chithirai Thiruvizha which is about Meenakshi's (Azhakar's Sister) Marriage and Azhakar itself. First 15 days is about Meenakshi and her marriage and next 15 days is about Azhakar. This Temple is called as "Dhakshina Tirupathi". Azhagar also gives his seva in same Nindra Thirukkolam on the foot hill (Malaiyadi vaaram) of Azhagar Malai.. The temple is protected by the Karuppar who is said to be Kaaval Deivam (protecting God).
